August has really got its summer hat on at the moment. Daily temperatures in the mid 20's and not much cooler in the evening. We have ventured out a few times in the heat but evening strolls are much more pleasant.
In search of a sunset, this was a little disappointing but has a Casper David Friedrich quality about it. Do click on the link to find out more.
Earlier in the week I captured this one on my return from the supermarket. An added bonus to a mundane task.
I missed the barley harvest sadly; just fields of stubble are left. Not to worry, lots of green still abounds in these cool lanes.
In the garden, bees and speckled woods are still very busy. Not sure what variety the second bee is?
Last night we had an enormous amount of moths on the outside of the window. This fellow was intriguing. Not a clue to his variety. Any suggestions?
