My darlin' husband is a terrific woodworker
and a very handy man to have around the house.
After our granddaughters were born
he started pondering on just what he could make each
of them in his workshop. He wanted something that would bring them joy and that would be something
that they would want to keep and pass on to their children,
long after their Grandpa was gone.
For our first granddaughter's second birthday,
her present from Grandpa Steve was this motorcycle rocker.
Steve put many hours of planning, building and love
into this gift.
I think it shows, not only in the craftsmanship
but also in the last photo in this post,
of the Wow look our sweetie's face.
Our second granddaughter's present was this beautifully
built kitchen.
Many a pretend cake has been baked
in this little oven.
Look inside at the details ( not solid shelves,
but wooden dowles to give it a real frig and oven feel).
Grandpa planned this out with lots of love.
I think the end results speak for themselves.
Best Grandpa Ever!
